Meet LYFE by Simon Morris – a zero-gravity growing system

By 10/11/2016General

Did you ever think you could cultivate your plants in the air?
Well, even if you didn’t now you can!

LYFE is a zero-gravity growing system that consists of a planter that hovers over an oak base via magnetic levitation, allowing you to cultivate your favorite plants in the air.

It is designed to gently rotate during the suspension, which enables life nourishment with 360 degrees of sunlight exposure, 365 days a year. How cool is that?

lyfe-3-in-a-rowAirplants, which nutrients are absorbed by their leaves through the air, were identified by the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus. They thrive upon the circulation of airborne particles, rather than the conventional root system.

Studies have show that magnetic fields accelerate the ripening of certain fruits, enhancing your plant’s metabolism, and it is well known that the magnetic field of the earth has powerful effects on all life forms, especially plants. The magnetic technology used by LYFE is called maglev.

“LYFE is a conversation piece that makes Magneto jealous.
According to the NASA clean air study, placing 1 plant for every 100 sq. ft / 9 square meters in an office or home increases air quality, filters toxins and decreases stress levels.”

Taking growing plants to another level by “freeing them from gravity” it gets even better – they are designed by the creators of FLYTE, a levitating light.

You can support the campaign on Kickstarter and get LYFE starting from $179.
