Following their most successful launch to date with tickets down to the final phase, techno and house festival in Croatia – Sonus have unveiled a string of high-profile debut bookings.

Belfast electronic duo Matt Mcbriar and Andy Ferguson aka Bicep (DJ Set) will play Sonus for the first time following a monumentally successful year in their careers which has seen the pair launch their live show globally and release their critically acclaimed Ninja Tune debut album ‘Bicep’.

Detroit techno founding-father Derrick May will also descend on Zrce for his Sonus debut this August. One of the Belleville three who laid down the blueprint for techno as we know it, Derrick’s set in Sonus’ spectacular surroundings will be an unmissable highlight this year.

German DJ/producer and Herzblut head-honcho Stephan Bodzin will be bringing his unique blend of synth deep techno to the shores of Sonus for an unmissable live set and another key debut this summer.

Belgian selector and one of the techno’s rising stars Charlotte de Witte is back for a second year after a standout set at last year’s Sonus.

Pampa label-boss Stefan Kozalla aka DJ Koze is another standout debut booking. The highly revered German producer is known for his uniquely eccentric sets and his Sonus performance will undoubtedly be a highlight of this year’s festival.

Voted ‘Best Croatian Festival’ by the Ambassador Awards for the third year in a row, Sonus spans across five days and nights in three open-air clubs delivering a world-class calibre of artists and unbeatable programming under the sun.

The team behind #WELOVESOUND and Time Warp will undoubtedly deliver what is shaping up to be their most exciting year since the festival’s conception in 2013.

Having just announced the dates for their seventh annual edition, Sonus Festival 2019 have unveiled the first of the confirmed acts to be descending on the sun-soaked Zrce Beach between the 18th and 22nd August 2019. Voted ‘Best Croatian Festival’ by the Ambassador Awards for the third year in a row, Sonus spans across five days and nights in three open-air clubs delivering a world-class calibre of artists and unbeatable programming under the sun. The first names to drop for Sonus 2019 include a stellar array of some of the biggest names in big-room house and techno.

Following an impeccable debut at last year’s Sonus, Belgium’s biggest breakthrough techno DJ/producer of the year Amelie Lens is back for her second time at the festival. Joining her are legendary Sonus mainstays and scene pioneers Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath. Dystopian head-honcho Rødhåd returns for his trademark storming techno, alongside Berghain favourites Chris Liebing, Len Faki, the almighty Dax J and Klockworks boss Ben Klock who will descend on his first time at the festival to deliver his hard-hitting breed of techno.

Minimal house will be well-catered for as ever at Sonus 2019. The first names to drop are some of the scene’s most revered acts including leading lady Sonja Moonear and Parisien collective Apollonia. Close friend of the festival, Ricardo Villalobos will be back to deliver one of his incomparable sets alongside label partner and Perlon boss, Zip.

Following a successful Ibiza season, Afterlife bosses Tale of Us return with their expert signature selections as does Mosaic mastermind Maceo Plex Desolat head-honcho Loco Dice and long-time friend of the festival, Solomun. Seth Troxler is back in 2019 alongside close affiliates Jamie Jones and Paradise regulars Richy Ahmed and Patrick Topping. UK techno auteur Daniel Avery will play Sonus for the first time as will Stockholm’s La Fleur.

ANTS frontman Andrea Oliva is confirmed for proceedings alongside duo Adriatique and Diynamic’s Magdalena. Music On boss Marco Carola returns alongside fellow Italian stalwart Joseph Capriati and breakthrough house and techno selector Luigi Madonna.

Having presented an initial taste of what’s to come in 2019, the team behind #WELOVESOUND and Time Warp will undoubtedly deliver what is shaping up to be their most exciting and varied line-up to date over the coming months.

Spanning across five days and nights in three clubs on its long-established home of Pag Island’s Zrce Beach, Sonus 2019 will take place between the 18th and 23rd August 2019.

Brought to you by the Croatian ‘We Love Sound’ family and the creators of Time Warp ‘Cosmopop’, Sonus came to life 7 years ago and has steadily grown into one of the most celebrated underground electronic music festivals on the planet. It offers a unique travel experience combining one of the most extensive festival programmes on the international festival circuit, alongside sun-soaked water-sports and nature exploration on the stunning Adriatic shores of Zrce beach.

2018 was the sixt edition of Sonus Festival and undoubtedly one of the most successful years to date. The discerning crowds at Sonus are one of the many reasons the festival has garnered its impeccable reputation and in 2018 revellers travelled to Pag from more than 65 countries across the world.
